The Lecture is the grand finale of the Mandela100 Centenary celebration and the beginning of an annual tradition.

Programme with a variety of (international) performances.

Building a World beyond Them and Us. The Lecture will be delivered by writer and opinionista Sisonke Msimang (South Africa), an outspoken voice in the conversation about colour, exclusion, gender and decolonisation. In 2017, she published Always Another Country, a Memoir about Exile and Home followed by The Resurrection of Winnie Mandela late 2018. Msimang is a regular contributor to The Guardian and The New York Times amongst others.

The Lecture will be part of a programme with performances by Faso Danse Théâtre, singer songwriter Jeangu Macrooy, Adriaan van Dis, Bram Vermeulen, ZO! Gospel Choir, Nora el Koussour.

The Lecture is organised by ZAM Magazine, platform for African change makers in investigative journalism, photography, arts and opinion.
